    Easy to use and high refresh rate

    This 27″ monitor has a nice picture quality to it. It was very easy to set up. I really like the stand. It allowed me to position the monitor either in a horizontal or vertical position. Even in vertical mode, it was viewable at a large range of angles. I also enjoy the high refresh rate. This is a step above a normal gaming monitor. As with most computer monitors, the speaker on the monitor isn’t great. But, the speakers do work in a pinch. The only downside I found to this monitor is that it only has a resolution of 1080p monitor. But at 27″, I hardly noticed. I glad I picked this up.

    It’s Fine.

    I got the 100hz, 27″ variant on Prime Day when it was on sale for the price of $36. For that price, I can’t complain too much. Very usable secondary monitor. Construction doesn’t feel or seem too cheap. Colors and contrast and motion processing are all better than I was expecting. That’s not to say those things are good, but I have seen worse. I think the biggest issue is that at this size, you really want at least 1440p. 1080p can get a bit fuzzy at 27″. However if you just need a screen to have YouTube or Twitch going while you do work on your main, higher resolution monitor, this will get the job done. Especially if they ever offer it at $36 again.

    Excellent starter gaming monitor

    I’m very pleasantly surprised with the 165hz frame rate capability of Amazon’s monitor. It’s also very well built, sturdy, and very functional. I love the height adjustable mount and the monitor’s sleek design. It’s got a very quick response time as well as an IPS display which allows for great visuals and color. It also has all the ports you need (2 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort) to hook up your rig and get rolling. I definitely recommend for those looking for a solid starter monitor!

    Love This Monitor!

    I have to say that I am extremely pleased with this Amazon Basics monitor. The monitor looks really nice, it is made well, very sturdy, and it finctions way netter thsn my old model. My husband likes mine so much he wants to order one for himself. The height is perfect on my desk and the monitor has a very modern look to it. I am so happy with this! Thank you!!!

    Very poorly designed screen control

    I’m not sure how this monitor compares to other monitors, the same size and price range, but for my gaming the specs are perfect for me at 27”, 1080p, and 165Hz.I am coming from using a 50 inch, 60 FPS 1080p TV for gaming, that was okay, but limiting. I was sitting back about 8 feet from the TV, so I was missing some close up details.Now I’ve been using this Amazon Basics monitor for a couple of weeks now and am satisfied with the display/picture quality. Not blown away by it, but not disappointed.My first disappointment was really with the setup. They provide you with a thick manual that basically tells you very little. While discussing assembling the base they omit the part that you have to screw in this included screw to hold the base in place. I figured it out in a couple of minutes, but that would have saved me some needless frustration if they had just included one more sentence. They also omit any discussion of how to access and use the screen control. Very simple actually, that they could have described in a single sentence too. But no, you have to go online and find a more detailed manual.Now the reason I gave this 2 stars is the wonky, poorly designed power button that also serves as the screen controls. Mine is perhaps defective and I can’t move right in the menu and moving the other directions is also difficult. The button is a very cheap piece of white plastic that is very loosely fitted in the back of the monitor and feels like it will break very soon. In a crowded field in this size and price range of monitors this is a deal breaker for me and unacceptable, especially as someone who like to fiddle with the screen brightness often.Lastly, Just be aware that you need the computer hardware as well as using a display port cable between the computer and monitor to achieve those high refresh rates. HDMI won’t achieve those, but will still work, but at a reduced rate.

    Works fine, but I can’t get the color to match my Macbook.

    Really hard to get the color to look right next to a Macbook. I replaced a 24″ Dell monitor, and that one worked right out of the box. I’m returning this and replacing it with a Dell.

    Good for the price

    I got this at a really good deal so i could not pass that up. Overall it’s a great monitor, while I don’t use that 165hz refresh rate to its max potential, the screen itself has nice colors. One thing is that when it is booting up, you can see lights behind the screen and it can be kind of distracting. Also when its off or sleep mode, the light in the back will constantly flash. If you have it in your room when you sleep it can be a distraction as well

    Poor picture quality or defective panel

    The picture on my panel is very grainy. Updated display drivers, and tried both display port and HDMI ports. Tried the various display settings on the panel. So either poor picture quality or my panel is defective. I have initiated a return.

    It Works Well & Cost Effective.

    I love this monitor! I just retired from a university and had to return my old monitor that was on loan. Once I learned that new technology equipment is easier to install than the old ones; I was good to go. For the price paid, it was a game changer to help me have better visuals with my old, small laptop. In the coming months, I plan to upgrade to an all-in-one computer. And plan to use Amazon.com.

    Good deal when on sale

    Scored these on black friday for $60. For BOTH. I installed them under my living room tv to allow me to watch sports while my kiddos enjoy some kid shows (excluding Sundays, that’s football day) lol hooked them up to their own Onn 4k Streaming box for each one and they work flawlessly. The monitors do have built in speakers but it’s pretty weak. Picture quality is great for it’s price point. Highly satisfied with this score.

    Straight out the box with no calibration it has amazing colors and great contrast with some decent built in speakers although most will probably play with headphones anyways. Also at its prime day special of $36 it is unbelievable to think how good it is for the price

    Decent quality for office use

    The monitor is great for the price, but I wouldn’t use it as a gaming monitor because of the 4ms response time. The colors all look great though and would work as an office monitor for regular use or watching videos. It doesn’t get too bright but it’s expected from a monitor of this price. Overall a decent monitor.

    logo burned into screen

    in the top right and bottom left of the screen there are some random numbers burned into the screen. and a bubble in the screen i was able to squeeze out. also when peeling film off screen there is a sticker left behind which left sticky residue that had to be scraped and wiped off. 👎👎👎

    A great work or office monitor

    Conveniently we needed a 2nd monitor for my husband’s office because he started a new work from home position. This monitor turned out to be just what he needed. He attached it to a VESA mount next to a 2k gaming monitor he also uses, so you can tell there’s a bit of a difference. This is definitely a work horse monitor, and really shines as a 2nd monitor for office work or video viewing — it’s easy to read and offers a great amount of workspace at 27 inches. He says it actually works as a gaming monitor too, but only at 1080P.

    A lot to like here

    The Amazon Basics 27 Inch Gaming Monitor is a new entry (at least for me) into a saturated market with ‘tried-n-true’ tech brand names. But I think the reality that most electronics are made offshore by the same companies and just rebranded elsewhere is to be expected. Whether that is the case here or not, I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised…I mean how else does a shipping/online-storefront brand a monitor?+ The 27-inch screen is a great size.I’m using it as a 2nd screen to my laptop’s 15.6-inch screen and it’s perfect for gaming or watching while sitting at the desk.+ The refresh rate seems great too as I play games and find if there is any lag, it’s with the graphics card more than the monitor.– I do not like the base.All the other modern monitors in our house (24-inch up to 32-inch) all have round bases, that fit on various brand risers. The feet of the base from this one stick out so much that even trying to shop for a riser I couldn’t find one this would work with.OVERALL:A very good monitor that has easy plug-n-play with 2 HDMI and 1 Display Port).The built in speakers sound pretty good, but I prefer to run through my external speakers + subwoofer setup.Worth checking out.

    Pretty Nice and Economical

    If you’re looking for a nice monitor at a low price, this one works well. It’s 1080p resolution which is good enough for most people. Assembly of the stand is pretty easy, and mounting the monitor to it is a piece of cake. It includes an HDMI cable and power supply so everything is pretty much plug and play. Picture quality is good and bright.

    Great monitor

    It’s not going to win any awards for style but the resolution is good and the picture quality is really nice. I don’t use it for gaming or video; just for work, and it suits that application perfectly. Colors look very good, although overall it could be a little brighter, but for what it is it works very well and is well worth the price.

    Good Monitor for The Price

    It’s a good monitor for the price. Mine came with a small scratch that is barely noticeable but other than that it works perfectly fine. A key feature that makes this even more valuable is the internal speakers that my other monitor does not have. If you want a simple monitor then this will get the job done.

    Okay, not great.

    It’s not a bad monitor but not good, I’d give it a 3/5. Video image isn’t bad, speakers are good, refresh rate is also meh, my laptop with 120hz looks better than the monitor at 165hz. My conclusion, it’s a mid monitor, you can get better monitors for the same price or a little more, but if this is on a discount then buy it.
