    Giant container

Haven’t tried it yet but was impressed at the comically large container. It’s huge, the white container is 32 oz standard protein powder

What You are you waiting for! This is no JOKE! GET SOME!

I’m about to buy myself one of the True Mass Ultra Premium Lean Mass Gainer. I accidentally bought the Syntha-6 instead of True Mass for body building 2 months ago and was force to use it until it runs out. I work out 4-5 times a week at the gym usualy 30 min – 1hr and I tell you all Syntha-6 has gave me 11 pounds of muscle within 1 month and a half. I do heavy weights one day, and conditioning another so I can burn off the belly fat. I started out curling about 25 pound dumb bell back in middle of the month May. Now I’m curling 35 pound just for warm ups and usually 40 pound is my average curls. If Snytha-6 was able to help me gain this much muscle, True Mass must be better. Anyway, for you skinny, boney folks who feels like you’ll never get muscles. I would recommend you try Snytha-6 first. It has less calories and still packs a lot of protein. Once you feel like you reached a good point, you can upgrade to True Mass for extra weight gaining. I will continue to update more info after I receive my True Mass and tried it for at least 3 weeks. I gave this a a 4 star because the price is a bit high. Other than that it’s great!UPDATE September 5,2012 – The results are amazing. I have gained about 15 or 16 pounds of muscles in almost 7 months for taking these with Syntha-6. I ordered already 2 of these already and will be ordering more. I do still have a bit of belly fat still from taking these protein and must do cardio to burn it off. However I have notice a huge strength and muscle increase in my upper body. I will not lie, some peoples body cannot absorb these supplements and must take other products to assist them. It took me about the first 2 months before my body started to easily metabolize them. I usually take some preworkout pills or drink with these protein to ensure maximum workout, so do not expect to suddenly feel strong and powerful and dangerously take on heavy weights when drinking this. I decided to change from 4 Stars to 5 now because compared this to retail price at the local GNC and Supplement stores, I am grateful they sell this much protein at this low price. If anyone thinks this is a scam or so call false ADVERTISEMENT comment me!

I’ve put on about 18lbs with the help of this stuff!

I’ve been working out for the last 6 months or so with the goal of putting on muscle mass & bulking up a bit. I’m a tall, skinny guy (aka hard gainer), and what makes things even more challenging is that I recently had a baby who I often take care of. If you’ve done any childcare, then you know how difficult it can be to get a decent meal in while the kid is crying and tearing the house up. It was almost impossible for me to get in enough calories to make any gains even though I hit the weights 3xs per week. I did some research and found out there were high calorie shakes that could help me with my weight goals. I read a bunch of Amazon reviews and I decided on ordering BSN True Mass (Chocolate flavor) and was surprised how decent it tasted. I’ve been through I think 4 or 5 tubs of this stuff so far, and I still don’t mind drinking it. I guess I should try another flavor, but I’m a bit afraid the other flavors might not taste as good. I usually make a blended shake with frozen bananas & other fruits, milk or rice milk, and sometimes peanut butter. It’s good stuff, pretty easy to drink, and I haven’t noticed any gas or anything like that. My original goal was to go from a scrawny 153lbs to 163lbs. Well in just a few months I’m already at 171lbs! (I don’t mean to sound like an infomercial, but it’s true.) So now I’m setting a new goal of 193lbs (I’ll keep you posted on the progress).About a month ago I was curious to check out some of the competing brands, so I tried ON’s Serious Mass because it had pretty decent reviews and a good price. A word of advice– ON Serious Mass tastes DISGUSTING!! I thought it would be similar to BSN True Mass, but it wasn’t at all. The serving sizes were insane and the stuff tasted like oily rotten artificially flavored nastiness. I gagged a bit the first time I tried to drink ON Serious Mass it because it was so nasty. I usually don’t leave too many reviews on Amazon, but Serious Mass was so bad that I wrote a one star review explaining why it tasted like crap. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra few bucks to get BSN True Mass (or some other brand that is not ON Serious Mass).Good luck with your gains!

    works but POOP BEWARE

I’ve tried a bunch of mass gainers and this one was the easiest to down by far. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s GOOD, but it’s definitely not disgusting like some others I’ve tried. The serving size is two scoops but I found that to be too much so I did one scoop in about 18 oz of whole milk twice a day, along with 3 meals and I gained 15 pounds. BE WARNED you will be pooping and tooting like crazy. I was pooping 3-4 times a day drinking these thangs. It works but man them farts are lethal, #asstophat tho so #worthit.

BSN’s TRUE-MASS tastes as well as it works

I have tried several different protein powders over the last couple of years. I can say, without a doubt, that BSN makes the tastiest one by far!The macro nutrients and micro nutrients are exactly what you want if you’re aiming to gain weight and add muscle. After lifting for 6 months, I was recommended by a gym friend that I should give the BSN protein products a shot. I started incorporating it into my diet to help hit my caloric intake and protein goals. Besides regular food, this was the only thing I added into my diet. I do NOT take any supplements. As a very hard gainer (really skinny my whole life) I was able to start putting on mass and muscle once I switched to BSN’s true mass. In a bit over a year of lifting I weighed about 180 lbs, benched 200 lbs, squatted 365, and deadlifted 425 lbs. These aren’t impressive numbers by any stretch of the imagination, but it shows what’s possible when you start getting enough calories in you.I won’t say that BSN was the only contributing factor (hard work, dedication, consistency, routine all matter of course) to my success, but it played an important part. I also won’t say that the only way to get strong is using BSN, but it really helps the skinny guys like me overcome that barrier. It also tastes delicious, which makes it more enjoyable to drink than other powders. There are cheaper protein powders out there, but I think this one is definitely worth the money. I recommend mixing 2 scoops with water, which cuts it really well. If you’re really eager to gain weight and want more protein, mixing it with 2% milk can be done. Be wary though, it will be very thick and won’t mix as well – which is why I first recommend water. When you’ve felt you’ve gained enough mass and are looking to reduce fat while maintain muscle, BSN also makes Syntha-6 – a perfect solution for when it’s time to cut!

    Best Mass Gainer Available

Where to start, this mass gainer is so much better than Optimum Nutrition’s Serious Mass, and everything else that is just loaded with sugar. No Creatine is good, no vitamins is also good which allows you to consume more of it without reaching toxic levels for things such as iron. I have been eating a lot of this stuff for seven months, while taking about two one month breaks and cutting. I have gained SIGNIFICANT amounts of muscle mass whenever using this (it’s an amazing pre-workout as well, seriously my workouts suffered without it and you can eat so many calories without getting nauseous which just isn’t possible with food), and my blood test taken after consuming as much as five scoops a day for weeks at a time came back great. My Chol/HDL ratio is actually 2.8 (while 3 is considered excellent, the lower the number the better) with 3.5 being optimum or average risk (5 considered higher risk), and the triglyceride levels are at 49 mg/dl with <150 mg/dl being acceptable. By no means am I am saying you should eat five scoops of this mass gainer a day, you should consult with your doctor first to make sure it is safe for you, and also get regular testing when taking supplements to make sure they don’t harm your health. I just wanted to share that eating large amounts of this in no way was able to measurably impact my health, the results were actually better than my last blood test, of course these tests only measure so many things but it is reassuring nonetheless.I highly recommend this mass gainer above all others, the main advantages are using more healthy fats compared to fast acting carbs. It also has a great protein blend, and sources the carbs from whole oats and maltodextrin rather than just pure maltodextrin. Great product, don’t change it it’s perfect.

Stopped taking this because 50% of daily cholesterol in one serving is insane.

    WORKS!!!

I used this as my weight gainer during my cycle the last few months. Other supps I used where recover pro, razor 8 for when I was feeling lathargic, Gener8 vitargo, and then of course your staples multi, fish oil, joint support, and cycle assist by AI. This was NOT my weight gainer of choice I started with mutant mass which I used to love but have not used it since they changed the formula and lets just say I thought I was going to break my toilet. I wanted to use Monster mass but They didn’t have any in stock so I went with this.Taste- This was one of the things I was looking forward too, I assumed that since syntha-6 tasted so great this would follow suit… Nope, I had two tubs of vanilla and two of chocolate. The vanilla had this real artificial taste and almost a sickening after taste and film in your mouth. The chocolate was ok but had a bit to much of a cocoa taste to it. Didn’t get a chance to try any of the other flavors since that’s all they had in stock.Value- I bought them two at a time and I got a buddy who works at the local GNC so I got two for about 100 bucks which is pretty good here in Canada. At 18 servings a container its not the greatest bang for your buck but was the extra calories that I needed during the day.Effectiveness- I would have to say it was really effective but having said that I was on cycle so all 25 pounds I gained I cannot contribute to this product alone. This really help get those extra calories between meals or first thing in the morning before I cook breakfast.Side effects- Other than the nasty after taste from the vanilla. It gave me some gas but any weight gainer will do that to you.Usage- I used 1-2 shakes a day (the full serving 3 scoops) in between meals or if I was on the go and didnt have time to grab some real food.Overall- I feel this was a solid product I would recommend this to someone if they could get it cheap or as a second or third option. I personally would use this again if I had to but would opt for either monster mass or real mass before it.

Good flavor and mixability in a large volume easily re-sealable bag

I’ve used many brands and types of protein powders over the last 20+ years including Syntha-6, purely for protein supplementation. I’ve not purchased or used a gainer since my late teens when I started weight lifting. Based on my experience with BSN’s other products and reviews on both Amazon elsewhere I decided to try True-Mass for a specific purpose. My pre-teen son has been in the 1st-5th percentile in weight for the past few years and while a large part of that may be a combo of genetics and daily medication, he’s interested in gaining weight. As many of us know, the only way to do so is to increase caloric intake. He’s also a picky eater without a high appetite, so in comes the weight/mass gainer. Assuming he stays committed to the process I’ll update this review with progress and results. As for the mixability and taste, I think it’s fairly good compared to the countless pounds of protein powders I’ve consumed. We’re starting with the vanilla ice cream in the 12 lb bag. Strangely, it’s the same price as the 6 lb container. I’d read some reviews that the bags do not taste as good as the 6 lb containers or are just plain bad. I did not experience this, I’ve tasted far worse and personally I feel it’d be very easy to drink 1-2 shakes a day. The vanilla also lends itself to add-ins such as peanut butter, nuts, fruits, etc. that may not go as well with other flavors. I’ve mixed up a few 1 scoop servings so far in 8-10 oz water (directions call for 16 oz for 2 scoops) or whole milk using both a drink blender and shaker bottle. The results are similar and result in an easy to drink consistency – definitely not a thick sludge like some powers or meal replacements. I added a Tbs of peanut butter to one and through it tastes quite good. While it mixes pretty well in a blender bottle, it’s definitely grittier than using a blender. The other key reasons for purchasing True-Mass over key competitors such as ON Serious Mass and Pro Gainer both of which have very good reviews and similar calories and protein per serving include: price per serving, higher amount of fat (perfectly fine for my son’s age and size), the blend of complex carbs including oats which I believe is better and a healthier choice than all maltodextrin.
