    Crashes Randomly and Can’t Handle Multitasking

    The desktop crashes every time I open multiple browser tabs or use Zoom while working. It’s totally unreliable and not suitable for professional use.

    Do NOT but this Computer – It is not “NEW” and will have PROBLEMS – POOR Amazon Customer Support!

    DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER! I purchased Asurion warranty with this and they provided telephone assistance to set it up. Found that It was obviously not a “new” computer as promised. Looked like whoever refurbished it screwed something up because it went straight to a “Defaultuser0” account that was disabled. Asurion person tried to help me do a factory reset but there was no option to do that after hitting the F12 button on startup. tried several other things but none worked. She told me the computer would have to be replaced. She connected me to an Amazon Rep who then told me replacement was not an option – only choice was a refund. Of course, if I wanted to get the refund then purchase it again I could not get the original deal – the price had gone up another $100. I sent it back and went to Wal-Mart to buy a computer. that one works great and is brand new. By the way – I had opened the Lenovo box on the bottom of the box. I later looked at the top and noticed that the “Lenovo” water marked tape had been cut and the box re-taped with a clear tape but you can see they did not line up the Lenovo tape to cover up the fact they cut that tape. No apology from Amazon – waste of a lot of time and now still waiting for the refund (Could bee a week or more they said). Amazon won’t refund the Asurion protection – they said I have to try to get that separately from Asurion.

    Small and fast

    So far this computer is great. It is fast and was easy to setup. I also like the small size which allows me to put it on top of my desk behind one of my monitors. This allows my motorized desk to go higher without tugging on the cords, like it would if I had the computer on the floor like my previous computer.

    Don’t be too concerned about the low 5 star rating

    Was somewhat concerned because of low 5 star rating. This desktop set up well, even with a bit of a learning curve for Windows 11. Appears to be quite a bit faster than Windows 10 it is replacing. Small issue with the accompanying keyboard that seller took care of immediately

    Beware – Lenovo has a terrible warranty policy

    There is a major problem with the warranty terms for this item. The keyboard was so defective that I was unable to set up the computer with it — had to use an old keyboard instead. I contacted Lenovo to get a replacement keyboard. Their response was that the warranty had expired, but I could resolve the issue by sending proof of purchase. I sent them a screenshot from my Amazon account showing I had purchased it three days earlier. They said that since it was more than six months after the date of manufacture, I had to get Amazon to contact them to adjust the warranty start date! This is so aggravating that I have resolved never to buy another Lenovo product. It’s made in China anyway. I’d be happy to pay more for an equivalent product made in the U.S. — or in S. Korea, for that matter.

    Installing this PC was easy.

    As the owner of several PCs, this one was very easy. Once the basic install was done, and the machine tested out on my network, there was then the usual drudgery of downloading and installing all my favorite apps, Install in printers, etc. But its all done and I’m happy.

    These are USED returned computers…some good, some bad.

    Seller is peddling USED Lenovo Thinkcentre s50 Gen3 computers as new….according to Lenovo support website , all are out of warranty originally sold 2 years ago in the United Arab Emigrates. Keyboard is not standard US model and powercord is 220 AC for the UK. Bought 2 and one was good with no problems, however second one was buggy and returned for full refund. Be warned these computers are NOT NEW with a factory warranty.

    Bad choice.

    Not as described. Returned. Supposed to be new but didn’t work properly. when I contacted Lenovo customer service, they checked serial number and it was out of warranty. Buyer beware.
